Alumni & Families Community
An Extension of Campus
With over 9,000 alumni and families in the Metro area, D.C. often feels like an extension of campus. Alumni and family volunteers plan a variety of networking, educational and social events for all ages and stages of life in D.C. In addition, the Wake Washington Center partners with offices on campus, including the Office of Personal and Career Development (OPCD) and the Mentoring Resource Center to provide workshops and discussion groups focused on personal and career development.
We invite alumni, families and friends to participate in all of these activities. Frequent emails with registration links are sent to anyone in our database with a current email address and D.C. metro area zip code. To make sure you receive these emails, click here to update your address to join the DC mailing list.
Typical events in the DC community include:
- Washington Nationals games
- Museum tours
- Brewery tours
- Guest lectures and workshops
- Pro Humanitate service opportunities
- Networking events
- Hit the Bricks on the National Mall
- Lovefeast viewing
